Dan Tennenhouse, MD, JD, FCLM

Dan Tennenhouse, MD, JD, FCLM is an expert in the area of legal medicine and has been a medical legal consultant for 40 years to attorneys across the state.  He is also an experienced educator in the area of legal medicine and has been a medical-legal lecturer and educator for physicians throughout the United States, for liability insurance carriers, and hospitals.  He is the Chief Executive Officer and principal author of Tennenhouse Professional Publications which has released numerous books on Legal Medicine and Risk Management for Health Care Professionals. He received his Medical Degree from the University of Michigan School of Medicine and his Law Degree from University of California Hastings College of the Law.  He has been a practicing physician in California for 30 years.  He has regularly taught at UCSF School of Medicine since 1973, and has taught Risk Management at SF General Hospital since 1980.  He was an adjunct professor at the University of San Francisco’s School of Law and at Hastings College of the Law.
