How are WILM courses useful to me?
WILM’s presenters include MDs and JDs team instructing your courses to maximize your accredited CME benefits. WILM’s courses teach practical and useful skills that every clinician must know in today’s litigation prone medical practice environment. The techniques you will learn in WILM courses are not taught in medical school or internship/residency training programs. The skills you will learn are guaranteed to make you a safer medical practitioner. Are WILM’s courses only for physicians who have gotten into trouble with the medical board?
No! WILM’s courses benefit physicians at ALL stages of their careers and provide useful practical information medical professionals like you can implement in your daily routine to improve your practice of medicine. These courses will help you practice within accessible standards and hopefully keep you out of a courtroom or peer review hearing.
WILM’s courses are approved by the Medical Board of California as meeting the coursework requirements for remedial courses as required by license probation for the three course topics of Medical Ethics and Professionalism, Prescribing Practices & Management of Chronic Pain & Substance Abuse Disorder, and Medical Record Keeping.
Can I submit my records online and how?
Yes, but there’s a couple steps:
- You must first redact all identifying patient information. Send an email to Administrator@WILM-Ed.org to find out more about redacting patient data.
- Send your records to WILM either by fax (650) 212-4905 or scan and email to Administrator@WILM-Ed.org or upload to your WILM Portal account to complete your Pre-Couse assignment.

Are there refunds for cancellations?
Requests for refunds and rescheduling must be made by email and sent to administrator@wilm-ed.org .
Cancellation requests received more than 30 days ahead of a scheduled course will receive a full refund, less any credit card processing fee incurred by WILM, if any. Requests to reschedule a registrant to a future course date will be granted without incurring additional charges, assuming space is still available for the desired future course date.
If cancellation is received more than 15 days before the commencement of the course, but less than 30 days, you will receive a 50% refund; Requests to reschedule to a future course will incur a 10% rescheduling fee.
WILM will either send a check or process the refunded amount using the same means of payment as was used for the Course Registration order.
Cancellation requests received less than 15 days ahead of a scheduled course do not qualify for any refund, but registrants will be given the option to reschedule to a future course after paying a 15% rescheduling fee.
Are WILM’s courses accredited?
Yes, WILM’s CME Courses are accredited by our trusted partner the University of California at Irvine (UCI) and provide AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™.

Is Attendee participation required?
The WILM course format is structured around attendee participation; questions by all attendees are welcomed. Zoom includes a chat function where questions can be posed directly to the lecturers. But we appreciate answering questions as soon as they come up and welcome audience participation. This approach allows timely discussion of complex issues and ethical dilemmas to take place.
The WILM Medical Record Keeping course includes two (2) record review sessions where the attendees will review as a group redacted medical records submitted by the attendees. This has proven to be a valuable learning tool. To get some constructive criticism and apply the things attendees learn in the course by reviewing each other’s records.
The WILM Ethics & Professionalism course includes a component of several sessions where we review hypotheticals and discuss various practice scenarios. It also includes a questionnaire and personal interview with one of the course lecturers. It also requires six-month (6) and twelve-month (12) follow-ups in order to get full credit for board probation purposes.
What if I have been ordered by the Medical Board or hospital to fulfill a course as part of my probation?
After completing your accredited CME course, WILM will provide you with all the necessary documentation that you need to show to your Medical Board probation officer.
Which is better: a live in-person course or a Zoom course?
Zoom has so far proven itself to be a reliable and convenient. WILM has worked hard over the last year to adapt its courses to be presented through Zoom teleconferencing. Although WILM’s presenters greatly enjoy meeting our attendees in person, Zoom lectures offer the next best thing and allow for a classroom experience that is conductive to learning and discussing core concepts, and has been universally well-received by all attendees.

Currently, all courses are being held ONLINE.
Do your courses meet the California Medical Board’s Probation Requirements?
Yes! WILM’s accredited CME courses are accepted by the Medical Board of California as meeting the coursework requirements for probation.
